There is an opportunity at kadawittfeldarchitektur for a sustainability consultant to join its team in Aachen, Germany.

Kadawittfeldarchitektur is an international architectural practice with registered offices in Aachen and Berlin. Founded in 1999, the team now comprises 150 employees and works on projects of all sizes. The office has won numerous competitions and awards. Among the best-known projects are the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main railway station), the Grimm World in Kassel and the new DFB (German Football Association) and football academy in Frankfurt. Particularly noteworthy examples of our sustainability in action include 50Hertz Berlin, the Neue Direktion Cologne (former railway head office) and the new RAG coal mining corporation building and RAG Foundation Zeche Zollverein (coal mine industrial complex) in Essen.

We are looking to expand our team as soon as possible with a consultant in sustainability in Aachen.

Your responsibilities

You will work on a wide range of sustainable projects in an innovative environment. You will work independently, in a structured and focussed manner. You will be responsible for various phases in connection with the sustainable construction and certification of buildings. You will work in a team on a variety of tasks, from sustainability concepts to recyclable detail solutions, material decisions and certification process tasks. Your daily routine will involve working with ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, MS Office and other software. You are keen to always keep your professional expertise up-to-date. The relevant standards, provisions and guidelines do not daunt you; on the contrary, you see that they underpin your work.

Your profile

You have successfully completed your architectural studies or studies in the field of sustainable building and you are at ease communicating in German.

You have several years of experience in building certification systems such as DGNB and LEED. Ideally, you are a certified DGNB auditor or LEED AP and have been involved in cradle to cradle issues.

You enjoy and are passionate about your work, are reliable, communicative and value teamwork. You want to make a difference and get involved in the issue of sustainability in construction.
