DBLO Associates is seeking a PA or studio manager to join its team in London.

DBLO Associates is seeking a full-time PA to directors/studio manager with previous experience, to join their growing architectural practice based in West London. 

The role will involve supporting the two directors and include coordination and some engagement with architectural and construction teams in the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will need to be highly organised with a systematic approach to tasks. Good communication skills are a priority, with a friendly and direct disposition. An understanding of architectural practice and a background in design or the arts would be an advantage but is not a requirement. 

We expect this to be a role that could expand with the right person to include wider practice management tasks.

Main duties and responsibilities: 

  • providing PA support to the directors
  • management of diaries for internal and external meetings
  • organising international travel and domestic travel
  • organising social events and activities 
  • general administration support for the directors including research tasks, producing of project reports 
  • assisting with HR tasks, such as organising annual reviews and making sure staff files are up to date 

Marketing and communication abilities: 

  • assisting with or organising tasks such as social media, project photography and website updates and bid submissions
  • assisting with developing and implementing PR/marketing strategy plans 
  • optimise performance, reach and engagement on all social media (Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn) including monitoring and reporting
  • maintain and update marketing documentation and databases 

Experience, knowledge and attributes: 

  • outstanding organisational skills and experience working in a similar role 
  • ability to multi-task, prioritise and problem solve
  • flexibility with the ability to suggest solutions and take initiative where appropriate
  • excellent standard of written and spoken English 
  • Microsoft Office/knowledge of Adobe InDesign advantageous 
  • excellent communication skills and professionalism in dealing with clients 
  • calm under pressure with a good sense of humour 
  • utmost discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential project and client information 
  • comfortable working independently and as part of a team
