Part 1/2 architectural assistant
at Vine Architecture Studio
Vine Architecture Studio is looking for a Part 1/2 architectural assistant to join its design-led studio in east London.
The role will involve being part of a team on small to medium size architectural and design projects. We promote creative thinking and there is also scope for research and self-generated work to be developed in-house. The studio currently has a variety of commissioned residential projects and well as some mixed-use schemes and is diversifying working on placemaking and cultural proposals.
This year we have won a NLA award and just been long-listed for two Dezeen Awards as well as being shortlisted for two AJ Retrofit awards and an Architizer award.
The role will involve work across all RIBA Stages.
Typical tasks will include:
- concept design
- planning drawings/submissions
- putting together presentations
- design team meetings
- working as part of a team
- model making
- drafting
- visualisations
- construction drawings and information
- site visits
- preparing statutory submissions
Successful candidates will need to be excellent designers and show strong skills in/the ability to learn the following:
- hand drawing
- graphic skills
- communication skills
- commitment to a task
- model making
- working independently and as a team
- working to deadlines
Knowledge/experience in the following is beneficial:
- AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino
- BIM (relevant software)
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Rendering Software
- Microsoft Office and Mac equivalent
