Mid-weight interior designer or Part 2 architect

Peter Mikic is looking for a mid-weight interior designer or Part 2 architect to join its team in London.
We are looking for a mid-weight interior designer or Part 2 architect with three to five years’ experience to join our team. We specialise in high-end residential projects but also increasingly undertake commercial and hospitality projects.
Prior experience in any of these fields are essential. You will need to be proficient in AutoCAD with good technical and detailing skills, particularly relating to joinery.
You should demonstrate a strong interest in design. A good knowledge of other computer programmes such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and SketchUp is desirable.
We are looking for an experienced creative, who will be proactive and organised in order to put together comprehensive briefs and work within project deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication are also essential, as you will be liaising between multiple parties, including clients, sub-contractors and architects.
A good knowledge of all design documentation is expected.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player who is happy to help with many of the day-to-day operations of a design studio.

Key skills required:
- a recognised Part 2 or equivalent degree qualification
Excellent technical knowledge and detailing skills - three to five years’ relevant experience working in an interior or architectural practice
- experience working across all RIBA work stages
- proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop
- confident in communicating with clients, contractors and consultants
- be eligible to work in the UK and be fluent in English, both written and verbal
