dRMM is looking for a project architect to join its team in London.
dRMM are radical makers of sustainable, socially useful architecture with studios in London and Berlin. Our thriving Stirling Prize-winning studio works on exciting, innovative projects across all scales and sectors in the UK, Germany and overseas. Current projects range from a floating swimming pool on a repurposed barge to pioneering community-led housing estate renewal, a CLT primary school to a large scale infrastructure project, and an ingenius new model for industrial estates to cutting edge research into the benefits of building in timber. We are in the process of becoming B- Corp certified.

We are looking for an energetic project architect to run medium-to-large scale projects independently:
- with one to two years’ experience in this role. Your will manage the workload of a project team
- oversee team members and engage with project-running duties
Responsibilities will include:
- coordinating design team actions
- running design team meetings
- liaising with clients and statutory authorities
- developing architectural solutions from concept to technical design and construction stages
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be well organised able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines efficiently. You will be energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with an eye for detail as well as the big picture. You will be able to develop and maintain excellent relationships and dialogue with colleagues and collaborators at all levels, including our directors, management team, architects and the other departments in the practice.
Fluency in MS Office suite, Adobe CS and Revit is a minimum requirement; knowledge of Rhino, SketchUp, Vectorworks, AutoCAD and rendering software is advantageous.
We have a relaxed and sociable studio atmosphere, and our architects play a full and active role within it, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility within the practice and in extracurricular events and activities.
Salary: dRMM salary band 6 (£39.3k – £45k) dependent on experience and compliance with our salary banding, which is annually benchmarked to ensure team members are paid fairly.
Working pattern: this position is envisioned as a full-time role. We offer up to two days of home-working per week, with core working hours to allow flexible start and finish times.
