Mangera Yvars Architects is seeking for an interior designer/FF&E architect to join its team in London.

Mangera Yvars Architects is a dynamic and innovative design firm specialising in commercial and hospitality projects. With a commitment to creating exceptional spaces that seamlessly blend functionality and aesthetics, we are seeking a talented interior designer/FF&E architect to join our team.

Responsibilities

FF&E and OS&E expertise:

• demonstrate proficiency in the selection and specification of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) and ooperating supplies and equipment (OS&E) for commercial and hospitality projects
• stay updated on industry trends and emerging materials to enhance the quality and uniqueness of our designs

Autonomous project management:

• take ownership of the FF&E and OS&E components within the projects, working independently and collaboratively with the interior design and materiality team
• manage the entire procurement process, from initial concept through installation, ensuring timely delivery and within budget constraints
• detail drawing skills, to develop furniture layouts but also joinery and furniture shop drawings

Collaboration and communication:

• collaborate closely with the broader design team, architects and clients to integrate FF&E selections seamlessly into the overall design vision
• effectively communicate design concepts, material selections and FF&E specifications to internal teams and external vendors
• production of mood boards (presentation and physical samples)

Budget management:

• develop and manage FF&E and OS&E budgets for each project, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and design integrity

Vendor relationships:

• cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers and suppliers to stay abreast of product availability, pricing and innovations

Quality control:

• implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all FF&E and OS&E items meet the highest standards of design excellence and functionality

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture or related field
• experience in FF&E and OS&E selection and management for commercial/hospitality projects
• proficient in industry-standard software such as CAD, BIM, 3D Modelling Software and Adobe Creative Suite
• strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• excellent communication and presentation skills
• knowledge of local and international suppliers and manufacturers
• a keen eye for design, colour and texture
• familiarity with sustainable and environmentally conscious design practices is a plus
