Part 1 architectural assistant
at Tuckey Design Studio
Tuckey Design Studio (formerly Jonathan Tuckey Design) is looking for a Part 1 architectural assistant (or equivalent) to join its west London office.
We are looking for talented, proactive and ambitious designers who are passionate about working with existing buildings and who are interested in contributing to the future of the practice.
Tuckey Design Studio works on a variety of existing and new buildings and in a variety of mediums. Model making is integral to us as a practice, we make beautiful handmade models from timber, plaster, paper and card. Applicants will need to demonstrate a high proficiency and alignment with this model-making ethos in their portfolio.
We seek applicants with the following qualifications, qualities, and experience:
- excellent and proficient model-maker
- knowledge in Vectorworks (2D and 3D) preferable but not essential
- experience using Adobe Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- excellent design and presentation skills, including hand drawing
- a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- attention to detail
- good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- prior experience working in a practice helpful
- additional languages welcome (currently we have fluent Italian, French, Portuguese, Pashto, Hindi-Urdu and Farsi speakers in the studio)
