at COS

COS is seeking a window designer to join its team in London.

Here at COS we are recruiting a creative window designer based in our London head office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a 3D design background to design all COS windows globally.

What you will do:

  • design inspirational window and in store displays for all COS countries
  • work closely with the production team to ensure window displays are executed and delivered to stores to an exceptional level of quality
  • present your vision from sketch through to design and development to realistic renders
  • continuously research the world of art, design and other creative mediums which will aid the development of upcoming trends and ideas for the season ahead
  • a strong awareness of the COS collection and the ability to transform this into an inspiring three-dimensional window and in-store displays
  • broad knowledge of materials and construction methods
  • draw up technical packs to a high standard which can be delivered to external and internal stakeholders ready for product development
  • work closely with the in store VM team on any relevant projects to ensure continuity and successful delivery of projects
  • influence, inspire and energise others, creating a strong working relationship with the visual team and wider COS teams
  • work alongside the stylist to achieve new and innovative ways of presentation
  • have an awareness of sales figures in order to inform the needs of the windows
  • able to prioritise workload and influence the strategic planning for the season
  • alongside the team manages some administration tasks including processing expenses and invoices where necessary

About you:

  • at least one year of experience working in a 3D design related role
  • proficient 3D skills required, ideally in SketchUp with some experience creating realistic rendering software such as KeyShot or V-Ray
  • good knowledge of Indesign, Photoshop and other Adobe creative suites
  • excellent understanding of the COS brand DNA and aesthetic
  • a strong eye for detail and ability
  • good communication and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet extremely tight deadlines
  • broad awareness of visual design, other competitors styling and branding
  • ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • flexibility to travel as and when needed
  • ideally has some experience with film editing software
