Drilling into the details of purchasing, installation and logistics the projects Blue Moon engages with range from mid-scale design-led boutique hotels to a variety of branded luxury and lifestyle hotels and extended stay apartments. Smaller focus projects include Michelin-star F&B spaces, C&B spaces and consultancy product deep-dive and cost plan analysis for new-to-market hotel brands. Working alongside interior designs, lighting designers and architects, Blue Moon manage all procurement activities from tender stage to installation.

Role responsibilities
- responsible for FF&E and OS&E project budget and programme delivery
- manage the overall procurement strategy and organisation
- develop strong client relationships to determine their project and service needs
- perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification checks, negotiating supplier agreements & tender co-ordination with the support of the project procurement Officer
- prepare and issue key package purchase orders for clients and submit to supply chain once approved negotiating terms of the agreement. Manage workflow of procurement officer to achieve the same
- manage workflow of procurement officer to receive and distribute interior design line drawings, finish samples and other items necessary for production of both standard and custom-made items
- prepare and issue project reporting which show any variance to budget or programme
- proactively report on all potential opportunities of value engineering, product suitability and lead time to mitigate any risk or to highlight opportunities to client
- proactively report on sustainability credentials of nominated FF&E products and companies supporting the client towards LEED/BREAM/WELL development goals
- responsible for project FF&E Book-keeping, including funding request remit, supplier payments and day-to-day bank account management with support of finance manager
- co-ordinate with client, project manager, main contractor and fit-out teams to schedule FF&E and OS&E deliveries and installation
- delegate tasks and supervise the work of procurement officer. Identify personal development opportunities and undertake training where necessary
- represent the company at key industry networking events within London and across Europe
- nurture relationships across the industry to improve business
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of FF&E and OS&E trends
Requirements:
- passionate and curious about hotel design and hotel design trends
- degree qualified in the field of interior, product or architectural design; or FF&E supply chain background
- understanding of RIBA design stages, and interior design milestones
- experience as procurement assistant or junior buyer preferable
- strong data and financial analysis
- superior organisation skills, high attention to detail
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- computer literate, especially with Excel
- proactive and helpful attitude
