Sutherland Design Studio is hiring architects to join its team in Oxfordshire, UK.
The studio is looking for talented architects with a minimum of two year experience and five years’ experience respectively. to work on exciting new projects across the UK and internationally. The candidate should have strong design, communication and coordination skills and will be expected to work on UK and international projects.
We work flexibly from our studio in Oxfordshire as well as shared workspace in London. Remote working is also supported. As our projects are located around the world, there are opportunities to travel internationally with the role.
Sutherland Design Studio is a team of architects and designers. The studio was founded in 2020 by Alex Jackson who was previously the architectural director at Soho House. Drawing on our background in hospitality, we focus on creating magical places for people to experience. We believe it is possible to build generous and captivating sustainable environments whilst enriching human and natural habitats alike.
Ideal candidates will have:
- experience in all RIBA stages, specifically tender and construction
- excellent technical knowledge
- proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- working knowledge of Rhino would be beneficial
- UK drivers licence
- available to start as soon as possible
Roles and responsibilities
This role is for a project architect to work on a variety of projects and requires you to work closely with the director and to oversee projects and the work of others. The role is client-facing, and you would be dealing with clients, consultants and suppliers directly.
