The Collective is seeking a showroom manager to join its team in London.

The Collective is a UK-based design and manufacturing studio for acoustics. Set up by founder Lucy Abraham in 2014, the business began with the mission of bringing environmentally sustainable choices to the commercial interior market. Since then, year on year growth has resulted in The Collective becoming a great example of a forward thinking, dynamic UK born company.

The role of the showroom manager is to promote and maintain an exceptional client experience within our Shoreditch showroom, manage a busy studio and help create a great working environment for the team.

For this position the ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong work ethic, be reliable, organised and meticulous in their attention to detail.

As the front of house they will be friendly, smart and approachable and have a passion for design and interiors.

Key responsibilities:

  • managing the day to day running of the showroom space and office
  • maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the space
  • maintaining and checking all showroom equipment and supplies
  • liaising with the sales team to prepare for client visits and events
  • organising catering and setting up for meetings
  • helping to curate and plan events for the space
  • helping sales support to send out samples and product information
  • coordinating product loans for press shoots
  • coordinating with tradespeople to fix and repair equipment
  • keeping a stock list of sustainable cleaning and food supplies
  • liaising with cleaning staff to maintain high standards
  • regular evenings assisting with client events
  • assisting all teams with ad hoc projects and admin support

The right candidate will:

  • have two years of experience in a professional role
  • be bright, confident, conscientious and engaging
  • have excellent English – verbal and written communication skills

This role would suit someone who loves people, curating events and is keen to create a beautiful space that inspires both staff and clients, they will learn what makes our business tick and will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and grow the role as they wish.

Salary: dependant on experience
