We are looking for a CAD technician with interior design/architecture experience and a minimum of three years experience in the residential and/or hospitality sector. Retail/F&B experience are an added bonus.
Designers should have an innovative approach white also understanding commercial requirements such as budget and meeting the programme.
At Aedas we focus on place-making and rationale drive concepts with an attention to detail so candidates with a similar aspiration would complement our approach.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Understanding design is important, someone with drive and capability to deliver technical packages with a good knowledge of how packages can be delivered efficiently with technical skills to deliver RIBA stages three and four. It would be preferable if candidates have a desire to work on drawing packages on both large and small scale projects. If candidates want to be working across concepts and technical packages this can be discussed, our focus is on a technical requirement. On site experience is a necessity; within the role there is the opportunity to grow to manage projects on site to RIBA work stage six. Aedas are also seeking more senior candidates with experience of six plus years to assist with providing technical experience in the office across group project schemes.
- responsible for completing and coordinating full drawing documentation packages to Aedas standards
- review drawings issued (redlining), address and resolve any coordination /clarification required to ensure a smooth coordination process
- solid technical knowledge
- advanced skills in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, InDesign and Photoshop
- 3D modelling skills such as StudioMax are a bonus
- advanced skills in Microsoft packages including Excel
- Revit and BIM knowledge on ID projects would be beneficial
Please note that due to immediate recruitment requirements, candidates must be London based.
Salary: dependant on experience
