1050 Architects is seeking a project architect or architect to join its team in London.
1050 Architects is a dynamic, small but growing practice based in central London, who is seeking either a talented Project Architect who has experience in project running or an Architect with good levels of experience looking to take the next step up in their career.
We have a diverse range of projects including offices / commercial, multi-unit developer lead residential, student accommodation and similar but are hiring to help us with a hospitality project in the first instance. We strive to create a workplace that you can develop and learn in but also a fun and enjoyable place to work.
Role responsibilities:
- assisting the directors on a variety of projects, giving you a broad range of experience
- progressing to take on more responsibilities within a creative and technically focused practice
- project running and day-to-day team management
You will gain experience across all RIBA work stages, including:
- concept design
- planning applications
- detailed design and tender
- construction including site visits and inspections
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to run projects.
Ideal candidate profile:
- a minimum of three years’ post-Part 3 UK experience in practice
- project running experience, either directly or indirectly under the guidance of others
- a strong design portfolio with excellent technical detailing skills
- strong hand-drawing and sketching abilities
- a proactive team player, able to work independently and manage tight deadlines
- excellent written and spoken English
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and SketchUp
- some visualisation and rendering skills but able to manage others doing this
Requirements:
- eligibility to work in the UK
- flexibility to work remotely, but preference for candidates able to work from our London office most days
