Accelerating Change Together (ACT) is an award-winning social enterprise of architects, urbanists and policy specialists working to accelerate the Green Transition.

We are based in the West of Ireland but work across the island and Europe.

This year ACT was awarded the “Best Business Working with the Community” at the All Ireland Community & Council (LAMA) Awards awards as well as the “Sustainability Initiative” Award at the Mayo Business Awards.

ACT’s new business development lead will hold the following key responsibilities:

  • lead the scaling efforts of our award-winning social enterprise, driving growth and expansion strategies
  • handle the application process for public requests for tenders and private proposals of services
  • develop and implement scalable processes to optimise efficiency and productivity
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams to align scaling efforts with organisational goals
  • analyse market trends and identify opportunities for growth and innovation
  • build and nurture relationships with partners and stakeholders to support scaling initiatives
  • oversee day-to-day office operations
  • coordinate administrative tasks and support staff as needed
  • manage office supplies and equipment maintenance
  • assist in organising company events and meetings
  • handle incoming inquiries and correspondence

Applicant requirements:

  • passion for sustainability and driving positive change
  • proven experience in scaling operations or business development roles
  • strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • analytical mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving
  • background in the AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) sector is a plus but not a requirement
  • background working for/with social enterprises is a plus but not a requirement

Location: the role is ideally based in Ballina, Co.Mayo; however a hybrid option would be considered depending on experience.
Salary: competitive salary level commensurate with experience.
