Senior web developer

Alter London is looking for a senior web developer to join its London team. 

Day to day duties

  • responsible for the product database and ensuring all product data is updated in a timely manner in line with key brand launches and brand updates
  • responsible for the reporting of all key data related to the visitors and sales through the brand websites. Work with Google Analytics and be able to set up other custom reports as required by the business to identify opportunities and provide recommendations regarding website improvement
  • work closely with the content manager to ensure all content and campaigns are planned and executed in a timely matter
  • in depth working experience with the Magento and WordPress/Woocommerce platforms is essential. Responsible for ensuring a stable website on both platforms
  • day to day involvement with the web development agencies. Raise tickets and manage communications in Trello/Slack/Basecamp systems. Work with the internal team and the developers to prioritise the work flow
  • identify new opportunities for the websites, analyse and recommend solutions within budget

Experience and skills:

  • at least three years’ experience within a professional digital marketing environment, with high levels of exposure to website creation
  • strong grasp and passion for front-end development and experience of backend development
  • clear understanding of HTML, CSS and SEO
  • knowledge and sound experience of CMS working with platforms such as WordPress and Magento
  • strong Google Analytics knowledge
  • good understanding of digital marketing channels
