Anamo Design Studio is recruiting an FF&E designer to join its team in London.

Anamo Design Studio is looking for a strong FF&E designer to join its F&B/hospitality team in London for a twelve-month contract with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent position.

The team delivers high-end F&B and hospitality interior fit-out projects, working on the feasibility, concept and delivery of projects with varying scales and budgets internationally.

The successful candidate will be creative, enthusiastic and passionate about exceptional design. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the team, with the opportunity to set up and manage the FF&E side of the hospitality projects whilst assisting the design team. Willingness to grow, learn and develop will be key for this role.

Candidates should have degree-level qualifications in design and over three to four years’ experience working on high-end F&B/hospitality projects in the UK. Whilst the successful candidate would be supported by the senior team, they must be able to manage a varying workload across multiple projects to meet client deadlines. Communication is key and the role requires fluent spoken and written English.

Key responsibilities:

  • create finishes and furniture mood boards
  • prepare full FF&E presentations and data sheets with associated costs and correct specifications
  • compile working drawings in AutoCAD for bespoke loose furniture and loose joinery items
  • prepare rendered layouts and elevations in Photoshop
  • prepare and manage spreadsheets and other budget requirements
  • coordinate and liaise with FF&E suppliers on costs and lead times
  • assist the design team with the review and approval of shop drawings
  • maintain and develop existing relationships with suppliers and manufacturers and foster relationships with new suppliers
  • coordinate delivery and installation of all FF&E and oversee handover
  • ensure the hospitality FF&E library/sample area is managed and maintained
  • assist in the development of tender proposals
  • assist in developing design proposals for presentations under the direction of the senior team
  • attend FF&E project meetings as appropriate
  • manage a varying workload across multiple projects
  • assist in styling and supporting professional photography, when required
  • contribute to the development of the hospitality interiors team within the practice
  • work closely with the project team and report to the senior designers and design director

Skills and experience:

  • a degree in interior/product or furniture design
  • three to four years’ experience of working on F&B/hospitality projects in the UK
  • excellent knowledge of FF&E, materials and finishes
  • a wealth of experience with FF&E scheduling
  • great knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
  • good AutoCAD skills
  • good communication and presentation skills
  • general knowledge of an interior design project, with the ability to read and understand furniture shop drawings
  • FF&E installation oversee/site experience preferred
  • proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile where necessary

This is an amazing opportunity to join a fast-growing design start-up for a twelve-month contract with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent position. The role will be based at our studio in London, with opportunities to work from home one day per week (usually on Fridays). The applicant must have the legal right to work in the UK.
