Mid-weight interior designer
at Anamo Design Studio
Anamo Design Studio is looking for a mid-weight interior designer to join its F&B/hospitality team in London.
The team delivers high-end F&B and hospitality interior fit-out projects, working on the feasibility, concept, and delivery of projects with varying scales and budgets Internationally.
The successful candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, and passionate about exceptional design. They will play a key role within the hospitality interiors team, as the practice is expanding in this sector. Willingness to grow, learn and develop will be key for this role.
Candidates should have degree-level qualifications in design and over three to four years’ experience of working on high-end F&B/hospitality projects in the UK. Whilst the successful candidate would be supported by the senior team, they must be able to manage a varying workload across multiple projects to meet client deadlines. Communication is key and the role requires fluent spoken and written English.
Key responsibilities:
- a creative approach to all project aspects
- create mood boards and 2D/3D design presentations, assist in the development of tender proposals
- order and collate samples for projects, create finishes boards
- oversee and guide the junior designers in the team, with a problem-solving mindset and mentoring capabilities
- attend site surveys and client meetings as appropriate
- compile working drawings (AutoCAD plans, elevations, joinery details) and specifications (finishes and furniture) with the support of the project team
- manage a varying workload across multiple projects to meet client deadlines and expectations
- contribute to the development of the hospitality interiors team within the practice
- work closely with the project team and report to the design director
Skills and experience:
- a degree in interior design or interior architecture
- three to four years’ experience of working on F&B/hospitality projects in the UK (previous creative roll-out experience is beneficial)
- great AutoCAD skills
- excellent knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
- amazing 3D skills using SketchUp
- great knowledge of FF&E sourcing
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- good conceptual abilities and freehand drawing skills
- show strong signs of self-management and able to be proactive without guidance
- have a full understanding of project processes from concept and design development through to site implementation
- proven experience working with fabricators specialist suppliers and manufacturers to design and procure bespoke products and finishes
- working knowledge of Building regulations, British Standards and other relevant statutory legislation
- proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile where necessary
