And Objects is looking for a skilled and dedicated accounts assistant to join its London studio.

The accounts assistant will report to the global head of finance and work closely with them to ensure the smooth running of the Finance department.

This individual will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be detail orientated and highly organised. The role will primarily be focused on the And Objects business, part of the MBDS Group, with some crossover into MBDS.

Responsibilities

Accounts payable:

  • process supplier invoices, credit card expenditure, staff expenses and ensure they are processed on time and accurately coded on to the accounting system
  • reconciliation of supplier statements and ledgers and resolving any queries
  • generate weekly payment runs for review and process via online banking
  • posting of all payments to the accounting system
  • liaise with staff requiring purchasing information

Accounts receivable:

  • raising client invoices once orders are confirmed on the accounting system
  • matching and posting of all client receipts to the accounting system
  • reconciliation of bank and POS payments (Shop and Website)
  • posting of stock journals to the accounting system

General:

  • managing the accounts email inbox
  • maintain filing of all paperwork – physical and electronic
  • dealing with and resolving queries
  • various Adhoc projects and tasks

Experience:

  • minimum one year experience in a similar role; retail/startup experience
  • interest in the creative industry – desirable

Knowledge and skills:

  • proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel and Word
  • proficient in Xero accounting software or other similar
  • understanding of multicurrency and foreign exchange
  • AAT or equivalent qualification preferred but not required
