Ström Architects is seeking an accomplished and ambitious Associate Architect to join our growing team and lead exceptional design-led residential projects.

We are an award-winning boutique practice recognised for crafting elegant, contemporary architecture — from bespoke villas to large-scale residential developments. Our portfolio spans more than ten countries across four continents and continues to grow.

While much of our work is showcased on our website and social media, several projects are protected by NDAs — which is why you won’t find them publicly displayed. Nevertheless, we’re incredibly proud of all that we do, both seen and unseen.

We are now looking to expand our senior team.

What You’ll Do

– Lead high-end residential and multi-unit projects at varying scales and complexity
– Oversee project delivery from concept to completion
– Manage clients, consultants, and internal teams with confidence and professionalism
– Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard
– Help shape and support studio culture and operations
– Contribute strategic thinking to practice growth
– Work closely with directors and other senior staff to maintain design excellence
– Celebrate the process and progress of the work — not just the outcome

What We’re Looking For

– Minimum 10 years post-Part 3 experience
– Proven experience delivering bespoke homes, luxury multi-unit schemes, and ideally international or hospitality projects
– A confident, clear communicator with strong team leadership and client management skills
– Initiative, adaptability, and ambition — able to think at both design and strategic levels
– Excellent design and technical knowledge
– Proficiency in Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office preferred (but not essential if you’re a quick learner)
– A collaborative mindset with an eye for detail and a drive to exceed expectations
