Atelier001 is hiring a workshop manager to join its team in London.
Atelier001 is seeking a workshop manager to lead its small, but highly efficient workshop space in Notting Hill, London. The majority of pieces produced by Atelier001 are luxury lighting. Intricate knowledge of electrical assembly and LED technology is essential.
The workshop manager is to oversee the stock management with great attention to detail, to observe and coordinate production timelines and to perform quality control. As this is a small operation, the workshop manager will also be involved in the assembly, electrical wiring, packaging and readying of orders for shipping. This role requires a strong team manager to oversee other workshop members assisting in the daily work, as well as occasional contractors for special projects.
Responsibilities:
- oversee all stock inventory, physically and digitally
- coordinate the re-ordering of materials
- liaise with the finance team on stock count and values
- assemble lighting products
- maintain a clean working environment on a daily basis
- assist in building, testing, handling and packing products with care
- support supplier liaison and order timeline management
- uphold high quality control standards throughout
- assist in tracking material orders using Excel and Monday
- arrange shipments and couriers as and when required
- communicate with the sales team on order status
- keep visual records of all shipments for insurance purposes
- assist with Atelier001’s gallery installations
- lend support for any external installations and exhibitions
Candidates must have:
- experience with Microsoft Office and basic InDesign skills
- experience in a workshop/production environment
- thorough understanding of electrical assembly and wiring, especially LED
- strong organisational skills
- team working spirit to maintain a well-oiled team
- sense of humour
Requirements:
- must be based in London with the right to work in the UK
- excellent spoken and written English
Knowledge of SolidWorks and the ability to produce technical drawings is a plus.
