Interior architecture and design
The interior architecture and design programme at the Yeats Academy of Art Design and Architecture focuses on an environmentally conscious approach to the re-use, re-imagination and innovative re-invention of the existing built environment with a strong focus on sculpting interior space. Our graduates are skilled in responding creatively to the interior architectural aspects of place, heritage, and building, as well as the interpretation of clients’ identity and design needs.
The vision for this programme stems from the following core philosophical aspirations: care for the human experience; inspired, environmentally conscious response to place – community, location, and culture; and creative communication and global engagement.
Job requirements:
- an honours degree in a relevant discipline
- at least three years of relevant post-qualification experience
- proficiency in software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- excellent model-making and digital fabrication skills
- strong design portfolio showcasing innovative work
- experience with third-party rendering software (e.g., Twinmotion, Unreal Engine)
- expertise in sustainable design practices and the integration of emerging technologies
- industry connections and partnerships
- masters degree or PhD in a related field
- demonstrated experience in professional practice, research, and scholarship
- proven training or teaching experience, including online instruction
- ability to develop and lead immersive, technology-driven projects and assignments
- experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and leadership in academic or professional settings.
