Creative designer/architect
at Nacira
Nacira is seeking a creative designer/architect to join its team remotely or in Paris, France.
Nacira is developing fully custom pieces and space emphasising on craftsmanship and state of the art engineering. With heritage in sailing boats, naval architecture and design Nacira is composed of a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers and designers.
Recent projects include the largest sailing catamaran ArtExplorer, an exploration vessel for deep sea research, a 60ft wooden Ketch and more. The studio was founded by Axel De Beaufort, the current artistic director at Hermes Horizons.
Task will include, but not be limited to:
- propose and develop ideas from concept to construction including: sketching, 2D, 3D, rendering, presentation. For interior spaces, exterior styling, custom furniture and objects
- develop and edit 2D and 3D model in collaboration with the team
- generate and present ideas
- work with external parties for construction, engineering studies and supply
Qualifications:
- masters in architecture / engineering / product design / industrial design or equivalent
Experience:
- at least three years’ experience working across different project stages and with external parties
Skills:
- strong aesthetical sensibility and cultural knowledge across different fields
- strong technical comprehension with experience in working closely with engineers
- responsible, proactive and open minded
- proficient in AutoCad and Adobe Suite
- proficient in Rhino, or other high end 3D software (NX, SolidWorks)
- proficient in making 3D images (keyshot, corona-3dsMax or similar)
