Role overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated middleweight interior designer to join our dynamic team and support the main AVT studio and its sister agency, Nokken. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional design solutions for high-end hotel projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer with strong conceptual design skills and a passion for hospitality interiors and brands to work on prestigious projects with industry-leading professionals.
Key responsibilities:
- work collaboratively with the design team to create innovative interior design concepts for hotel projects, from concept to completion
- develop brand and story lead concepts, design presentations and technical drawings to communicate design intent clearly and effectively
- prepare detailed CAD drawings, 3D models and specification documents for FF&E
- manage relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
- conduct site visits and oversee the implementation of design concepts, ensuring quality and precision
- stay up to date with the latest design trends, materials and technologies to ensure our projects remain at the forefront of the industry
- manage time and resources effectively to meet project deadlines and budgets
Key requirements:
- bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field
- three to five years of professional experience in interior design, preferably within the hospitality or hotel sector
- strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software
- experience with 3D visualisation tools and rendering software is a plus
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- a creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and present innovative solutions
- a portfolio demonstrating your experience and ability in designing high-end hospitality or hotel projects
