It is a pivotal moment for Bath Spa University with the opening of the new Art and Design Locksbrook campus in September. The Grade 2 listed campus building was originally designed by Sir Nicholas Grimshaw for Herman Miller, the American furniture manufacturers in 1976. Bath Spa University and Grimshaw Architects have worked closely to transform the iconic building into an extraordinary facility for artists and designers to flourish. You can find more information about the new campus here.
The Bath School of Design places students at the centre of all its activities, and this is supported through research and professional networks. The course leader will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the course from the outset in this incredible new location with exceptional studios, workshops and digital learning facilities, and will work closely with the head of school and course leaders across design as key decision makers in operations, strategy and vision of the Bath School of Design.
You will have experience in delivering and leading teaching and learning in a higher education institute in the specialised area of interior design, this includes proven experience in managing student cohorts, curriculum design and recruitment activities.
In support of teaching you will have professional industry networks and be actively engaged in research and/or scholarly activities.
