Part 2 architectural assistant

Beasley Dickson Architects is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its studio in London, UK.

About us:

We are a design led practice with a wide portfolio of refurbishment, new build and heritage work. We currently have an exciting mix of projects including a new build house in Surrey, a hotel in Staffordshire and several private residential projects in London. The studio was shortlisted for BD Young Architect of the Year 2020 and published in the Architecture Foundation’s book New Architects 4.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects responsible for supporting project teams at each stage of a project’s development, from concept to completion on site. They will also be contributing to the day to day running of the practice. Candidates should have an eye for contemporary design and detailing with the ability to show initiative to suit the varying demands of the projects.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • RIBA/ARB Part I and Part II qualifications
  • a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a UK Architectural office
  • strong visual communication skills, using hand sketching / 2D/ 3D software (Microstation/SketchUp/V-Ray/Adobe Creative Suite)
  • good technical knowledge with proficiency in UK building regulations and technical drawing
  • site experience beneficial, with appetite for running projects during construction
  • comprehensive knowledge of all RIBA work stages from planning to completion
  • self-motivated, strong organisational skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to work on several projects at once
  • fluency in spoken and written English with excellent language, presentation and communication skills
  • above all, a willingness to collaborate, innovate and learn, contributing to a positive team culture
