About the role
We’re looking for a programme co-lead (community stewardship) to join our small, ambitious team at Bedminster Works. You’ll work in close partnership with our co‑lead for property to deliver our shared mission: activating three community-owned buildings in Bedminster over the next three years.
This role will lead on community engagement and stewardship – building local relationships, working with residents and grassroots groups, supporting tenants, and co-creating models of long-term, community-led care and use of space. You’ll also share responsibility for the overall programme, including strategy, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement.
You’ll bring:
- strong communications and relationship building skills with a proven experience of working with different community groups
- experience in recruiting, supporting, or working with small businesses, social enterprises, community groups, or creatives
- experience in developing or managing inclusive spaces or programmes
- knowledge or experience related to social impact measurement and reporting for community programmes
- experience in facilitating collaborative processes and building relationships within diverse communities
- knowledge of community-ownership and stewardship models and how to apply them
About you:
- passionate about community power and bottom-up regeneration
- comfortable working in informal, grassroots, or cross-sector settings
- committed to inclusivity, accessibility, and centring diverse voices
- able to balance deep listening with decision-making and action
- excited to help shape new ways of doing things
Key details:
- fixed-term: 2.5 years (0.4–0.8 FTE, flexible)
- salary: £35k–£45k (pro rata)
- location: hybrid (remote plus in-person once a Bedminster Works building is secured)
