Ben Pentreath is looking for a studio assistant to join its team in London.

We are seeking a professional and highly motivated full time studio assistant to help with the day-to-day running of our busy studio in Bloomsbury.

Primarily working alongside the Studio Manager and Practice Director, the candidate we hope to find will be kind and friendly, with a good sense of humour and a can-do attitude. They will be enthusiastic, have excellent attention to detail and superb organisational and communication skills.

The role will involve, but is not limited to:

  • welcoming studio visitors, guests and clients
  • answering telephone calls in a polite and professional manner, transferring calls and taking clear and accurate messages
  • receiving and distributing post, and unpacking deliveries
  • franking outgoing mail and taking items to the Post Office
  • booking travel for staff and arranging couriers
  • general administrative tasks, including filing, copying, binding, scanning and shredding documents
  • monitoring stock levels and ordering office supplies
  • maintaining the tidy appearance of the studio
  • occasionally assisting with the lifting and moving of books, including boxes up to 11kg
  • setting up meetings, organising refreshments and purchasing lunches
  • assisting with PA duties for directors as and when required
  • saving and filing press cuttings
  • sorting recycling
  • regularly washing and drying tea towels and towels
  • assisting with daily health & safety checks
  • watering and caring for office plants
  • assisting with basic DIY and buildings maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor issues
  • assisting with the set up and running of any studio events

A good knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential, and experience working in a similar office or studio environment is necessary.

The role will suit someone that enjoys working practically in a friendly, creative environment, and likes being proactive and getting things done. The ideal candidate will be able to build good working relationships with all members of the studio and will be willing to help out wherever needed.
