Blue Moon Hotels Procurement is seeking a procurement officer to join its team in London.
This role is on a full-time permanent contract. The starting salary is £25,000 to £27,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience. The role is based in our office, fourth floor Chapel House, 18 Hatton Place, London, EC1N 8RU.

Blue Moon Procurement was established in 2014 and provides professional FF&E and OS&E procurement services to hotel investors, owners and operators. Drilling into the details of purchasing, installation and logistics, the projects Blue Moon engage with range from mid-scale design-led boutique hotels to a variety of branded luxury and lifestyle hotels and extended stay apartments. Smaller focus projects include Michelin starred F&B spaces, C&B spaces and consultancy product deep-dive and cost plan analysis for new-to-market hotel brands. Working alongside interior designs, lighting designers and architects, Blue Moon manage all procurement activities from tender stage to installation.

Role responsibilities:
- provide support to procurement manager
- assist with delivering project FF&E and OS&E budget and programme targets
- perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification checks, negotiating supplier agreements and tender coordination
- prepare and issue purchase orders for client, and submit to supply chain once approved
- receive and distribute interior design drawings, finish samples and other items necessary for production of both standard and bespoke-made items
- proactively report on all potential opportunities of commercial value engineering, product suitability and lead time to mitigate any risk or to highlight opportunities to procurement manager
- proactively report on sustainability credentials of nominated FF&E products and companies
- responsible for issuing project invoices to client direct for payment or Blue Moon finance manager in the instance of FF&E book-keeping services
- assist with coordination of FF&E and OS&E deliveries and fit-out sequencing
- responsible for project closeout documentation, verify that all invoices have been processed and any refund claims collected
- organise project team travel arrangements
- maintain an up-to-date sample library, arrange supplier meetings etc
- nurture relationships across the industry to improve business
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of FF&E and OS&E trends
Role requirements:
- passionate and curious about hotel design and hotel design trends
- degree qualified in the field of interior, product or architectural design a preference but not necessary; alternative work experience within FF&E supply chain or design studio applicable
- strong data and financial analysis skills
- superior organisation with high attention to detail
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- computer literate, especially with Excel
- proactive and helpful attitude
