Due to an increasing number of projects, Bolton Chalklin Architects is seeking a driven Part 3 architect with project running experience to join our team in Vauxhall, London. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality residential projects across London and the South East, and to grow and develop within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job objectives

The successful candidate will take a lead role in delivering residential projects across all RIBA work stages. This includes overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion, liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers, and ensuring the successful and timely delivery of each project. The role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of project types, from period buildings to contemporary fit-outs, in a highly creative and collaborative setting.

Who you are

We are looking for an enthusiastic, articulate and well-presented individual who is confident in managing multiple projects and working independently. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, resourceful, and creative architect with the drive to take ownership of projects. Experience in a lead role and project running is essential, as is the ability to find innovative solutions and manage complex tasks independently.

  • confident, well-presented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • capable of multitasking and managing a variety of project threads simultaneously
  • strong eye for design and presentation, with a passion for working across different project styles
  • proactive, with the drive to take initiative and deliver projects to a high standard

What you will offer us

We are looking for an architect who brings a strong skillset to the team, including:

  • solid two-dimensional drafting skills (plans, elevations, sections)
  • in-depth knowledge of the UK planning system and building regulations, especially with reference to residential refurbishment
  • experience in liaising with clients, contractors, and subcontractors, including conducting on-site inspections
  • proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion, overseeing all aspects of the project
  • proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, Microsoft Office, SketchUp and Adobe Suite
  • a passion for design, coordination, project management and interior design
  • excellent written and spoken English.

  • potential paid trial day in the office

Package:

  • competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience
  • 20 days’ annual leave plus eight bank holidays
