Role overview

We are looking for a personable and results-driven business development manager to manage and close incoming leads, ensuring a smooth and professional client experience. This role is perfect for someone with a consultative sales approach who enjoys building relationships and guiding potential clients toward starting their design and build projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • proactively manage and follow up on all incoming leads, ensuring timely responses and professional communication
  • guide potential clients through the early stages of the design and build process, addressing questions and providing relevant information
  • convert inquiries into confirmed projects by understanding client needs and presenting tailored solutions
  • build strong relationships with homeowners, architects, property developers, and other industry professionals to generate repeat business and referrals
  • maintain organised records of leads, opportunities, and follow-ups using a structured approach
  • work closely with the marketing team to refine lead generation efforts and improve conversion rates
  • collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure a seamless transition from lead to active project
  • stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategies

Requirements:

  • proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, ideally within the interior design, construction, or real estate industries
  • a strong track record of managing leads and closing sales in a consultative, non-pushy manner
  • excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple leads simultaneously
  • a keen interest in interior design and an understanding of high-end residential and commercial aesthetics
