Role overview
We are looking for a personable and results-driven business development manager to manage and close incoming leads, ensuring a smooth and professional client experience. This role is perfect for someone with a consultative sales approach who enjoys building relationships and guiding potential clients toward starting their design and build projects.
Key responsibilities:
- proactively manage and follow up on all incoming leads, ensuring timely responses and professional communication
- guide potential clients through the early stages of the design and build process, addressing questions and providing relevant information
- convert inquiries into confirmed projects by understanding client needs and presenting tailored solutions
- build strong relationships with homeowners, architects, property developers, and other industry professionals to generate repeat business and referrals
- maintain organised records of leads, opportunities, and follow-ups using a structured approach
- work closely with the marketing team to refine lead generation efforts and improve conversion rates
- collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure a seamless transition from lead to active project
- stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategies
Requirements:
- proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, ideally within the interior design, construction, or real estate industries
- a strong track record of managing leads and closing sales in a consultative, non-pushy manner
- excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple leads simultaneously
- a keen interest in interior design and an understanding of high-end residential and commercial aesthetics
