C Bros Joinery is seeking a project designer to join its firm in London.

Project designer: £23k – £29k (DOE)

Project designer required for growing bespoke furniture firm based in Mitcham, Surrey.

C Bros Joinery is a dynamic and actively growing company, we are currently looking to recruit a new member to expand our design team at our Surrey offices in Mitcham, this would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to further their career within design, production and manufacturing.

We work closely with our sister company in construction, architects, designers and project managers on a large number of central London properties and influential furniture projects; key to our success is the quality of our staff, our service and our end product.

We design, manufacture and build a large number of bespoke and quality products for a wealth of high-end consumers that expect a high-end service in return. Our products are designed and manufactured here on-site.

The ideal candidate will have at least one years’ experience working or studying in a similar role, draftsman, designer, kitchen designer and furniture design.

Full training and support will be provided.

Key responsibilities:

  • must be confident to meet clients’ onsite to discuss projects and offer advice
  • working closely with our junior project designer who will assist you
  • dealing with incoming client requests and providing them with quotes and shop drawings for tender
  • designing bespoke furniture, casework and cabinetry from both internal and client specification, site measurements and architects drawings
  • facilitating both trade and private client requests for bespoke works to be carried out and quoted for in a timely and professional manner
  • ordering materials, sheet material, fixtures and fittings and sticking to budgets
  • overseeing projects from design to finish

About you:

  • ideally hold a minimum of one year’s work/study experience in a similar role
  • experience of Solidworks CAD software essential
  • customer-focused and possess a positive can-do attitude
  • success driven
  • must be proactive and keen to learn on the job
