Part 2 architectural assistant
at CAN

CAN is looking for an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant to join its studio in London.

CAN is a young architecture and ideas studio that creates idiosyncratic and striking projects, underwritten by cultural and historical research, and believe that architecture can and should make the city a more joyful, inclusive and exciting place to live and work. Diversity of thought is intrinsic to CAN’s creative process with a strong focus on creative collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working on projects through all RIBA stages and should have a keen interest across the creative spectrum with an open mind to working on a variety of creative projects such as private residential, public art and workplace design. This is an opportunity to help grow and shape the output of the studio moving forward.

Essential requirements:

  • strong visual and graphic presentation skills
  • have the right to work in the UK
  • experienced in AutoCAD and SketchUp (or similar CAD software – please list on CV)
  • experienced with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • good understanding of construction details
  • ability to take initiative
  • strong design skills

Favourable requirements:

  • experience with Adobe InDesign
  • experience with Blender or other rendering software
  • on-site experience

Particulars:

  • start date: flexible (ideally early June 2022)
  • working arrangement: full-time role with flexible working arrangements considered
  • salary: London competitive; negotiable (dependent on experience)
