The opportunity
Carmody Groarke is seeking exceptional architects to join our dynamic team based in London, working across several exciting new projects spanning cultural, historic and urban contexts.
About us
Carmody Groarke is an award-winning architecture studio with 40 team members, driven by a passion for design excellence. Our research-led and creative approach delivers meaningful and impactive projects, both in the UK and internationally. Our diverse portfolio includes arts, cultural, heritage, residential and commercial projects across a variety of scales and complexities, working with clients such as the LSE, Derwent London, British Library and Dulwich Picture Gallery.
The role
We are looking for talented and enthusiastic architects to work on several exciting opportunities in a wide variety of sectors. Current projects include the development of multi-unit student residence on a prominent central London site, a new conservation centre for the Bibliotheque national de France (BnF) in Amiens and a series of cultural buildings currently on site throughout the UK.
You will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects through all work stages, taking responsibility for generating and refining design concepts while independently managing your assigned work packages in line with project briefs. You will regularly present at design reviews with directors, as well as in meetings with clients and the broader design team, demonstrating your passion for exceptional design and collaboration.
You will be encouraged to actively contribute to the studio culture. Whether championing initiatives such as sustainability, equality and diversity, or driving digital advancements, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the studio.
Experience in Revit is advantageous.

Salary
The salary for the position will be set in accordance with the studio salary banding and in line with skills and experience. This is published internally on an annual basis.
Our current banding for the architect level is:
- zero to five years: £37,000 to £47,000
- five-plus years: £46,000 to £55,000
