Senior architect
at Cartwright Pickard

Cartwright Pickard is hiring a senior architect to join its team in London.

About CP

Our mission is to meet the challenges that matter to people and the planet, with architecture that looks beautiful, performs brilliantly and grows old gracefully. By listening closely and challenging respectfully, we create value for everyone who encounters our architecture. Together, we unite the head with the heart and creativity with research to create places that improve people’s lives.

Having become an employee-owned business at the end of 2023, we have ambitious plans to grow the practice and are currently expanding our London and Leeds teams to work on the exciting portfolio of projects we have ahead.

The role

We’re seeking an exceptional senior architect with a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience to join our team in London. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious, talented individual with excellent design, technical and communication skills. You’ll be working on projects across a range of sectors and scales.

Confident dealing with clients, you will be a proactive team player with a collaborative mindset and a proven track record of delivering high-quality design. As well as an in-depth understanding of technical design standards and legislation, you will be proficient in Revit and a strong communicator both visually and verbally. We also look to our senior architects to take on a more involved role in guiding our junior staff. Experience working on large-scale commercial/residential projects within the UK would be advantageous.

Working at CP

We believe that good architecture comes from people whose creativity and ingenuity is appreciated. At our open-plan studios in London, Leeds and Manchester, we’ve created an open, fair and friendly culture which allows our diverse team of talented individuals to flourish. We’ve held an Investors in People Silver accreditation since 2010, which is almost unique in our profession. We put a lot into the development and training of our staff. In return, we expect you to be at the top of your game, ambitious to learn and progress.

We are looking for people who are engaged in our mission and live by our values.

These values are:

  • consider every angle
  • put insight into action
  • make relationships matter
  • build a legacy
