CarverHaggard is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant/Part 3 architect to join its office in Brixton, London.

CarverHaggard is a design and research practice delivering public benefit through positive solutions to complex problems. We work with local authorities, community organisations, and progressive developers, approaching our work with critical optimism, practicality and rigour.

With an exciting range of public and private projects for buildings and public spaces at the design stage and on-site, we are seeking an enthusiastic and design-focused individual to become an active member of our studio. You will play a key role in leading the design and delivery of projects, working with our internal team, our collaborators and consultants, and our clients while being supported in your personal and professional development.

You should have:

  • initiative, intelligence and ambition
  • excellent design and drawing skills
  • a positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and excellent communication
  • proficiency in a range of CAD and design software (Vectorworks, Sketchup, and Adobe packages preferred)
  • an interest in public engagement, social impact and environmental design
  • good organisational skills with keen attention to detail
  • good communication skills, able to liaise with client, consultant and contractor teams
  • good written and spoken English
  • current eligibility to work in the UK
  • ability to work in person in our Brixton office
