About the job
This is a full time, office-based role involved in all aspects of the development process from concept to production of new furniture and accessories. As a small team we will often be working on multiple products and projects at the same time, with this in mind strong graphic design skills/presentation would also be an advantage.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- producing technical drawings/3D models and visuals of new developments
- technical problem solving
- researching and ensuring products are compliant to current regulations
- generating the product instructions
- working on the packaging specification to ensure product is in perfect condition on delivery and compliant to client needs
- assisting with the launch of new product and web updates, including updating images, diagrams and product descriptions etc
- research into new market areas/products when required
- assisting with our in-store/exhibition/web/print graphic design
- working closely with the rest of the development team and our sales and marketing team as well as designers and suppliers
- strong communication/organisational skills and good time management skills are essential
The role is based in our Wandsworth showroom/office between 9:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday.
Key attributes:
- degree in furniture/product/3D Design
- experience in the design/manufacturing industry
- ability to develop furniture/accessories from concept to final production
- experience with Rhino, V-ray and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign) essential
- a structured mindset with good time management
- proactive, dynamic and collaborative
- fluent in English, oral and written
