Caulder Moore is a boutique creative design agency based in London, specialist in interior and graphic design for more than 30 years. A retail and hospitality agency outside the sea of sameness, with an appetite for big thinking. We believe in getting more up close and personal with our clients and their brands to inspire and create deeper brand experiences and closer connections with their consumers. We are a small but growing team and we are looking for a talented individual to join us and take on some exciting new opportunities.

We are looking for:

  • somebody to create great design solutions with a creative flair and a passion for design
  • somebody who can take the responsibility of working independently as well as a team player who is enthusiastic about tackling the unexpected
  • a self-motivated, proactive and organised person with a ‘can do’ positive attitude

The ideal candidate must have:

  • a degree or equivalent in interior design/interior architecture
  • at least five years’ post-graduate experience, with demonstrable experience working on retail, hospitality and/or beauty/leisure projects
  • full proficiency using Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Suite; Cinema 4D and Renderworks preferred but not essential
  • comprehensive experience working on all aspects of projects, through all stages of work, from concept to completion is a must
  • up-to-date knowledge of the commercial design sector and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
  • excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written; you must be fluent in spoken and written English and eligible to work in the UK

Job details:

  • demonstrate a flair for creativity, an ability to challenge the norm, inspire new ideas and bring original concepts to life
  • demonstrate ability to work across several projects simultaneously whilst managing your workload and meeting deadlines
  • develop and maintain knowledge of consumer and commercial design trends, an excellent working knowledge of suppliers and materials and actively seek out new suppliers and trade relationships
  • display good knowledge of current building regulations and CDM requirements
  • prepare distinctive mood boards for the developed design, incorporating inspirational imagery, 3D visuals, sketches and all relevant materials, furniture, specifications and samples
  • display excellent communication skills with the team, contractors/suppliers and liaising with clients day-to-day
  • produce detailed and accurate drawing packages including plans, sections, elevations and detailed drawings; being mindful of costs and appropriate materials
  • produce detailed materials lists with supplier information, quantities, lead times etc.
  • produce detailed FF&E schedules to include furniture, lighting, sanitary, and any ironmongery/additional accessories required
  • attend site visits and meetings with clients, suppliers and contractors

Key information 

  • 9am-6pm Monday to Friday; working from home, with central London team days: three to five days per month
  • 9-12 month maternity cover contract with the possibility to be extended if workload permits
  • 32 days annual leave, including bank holidays plus an extra day off for your birthday
