About the role

We are looking for an experienced sales manager to join our team, specialising in the sale of made-to-order, bespoke, and stock rugs. You will be responsible for managing relationships with interior designers and architects across the UK, leveraging your network and expertise to generate new business opportunities. You’ll be instrumental in driving revenue growth, representing our brand at trade shows, and contributing to the development of sales and marketing strategies.

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three plus years’ of relevant sales experience, a successful track record in converting leads into loyal clients, and a deep understanding of the interior design and architecture industries.

Key responsibilities:

  • sales outreach and management: actively manage and grow relationships with interior designers, architects, and hospitality firms to promote our range of bespoke, made-to-order and stock rugs
  • CRM management: utilise CRM tools (Daylite or similar) for tracking client interactions, opportunities, and progress. Export and manage data as required
  • quotations and proposals: generate and present detailed quotes to clients, ensuring clarity on pricing, lead times, and customisation options.
  • travel: local and international travel to client meetings across the UK and Europe (within an approved budget)
  • trade shows and networking: represent the company at trade shows and industry events to network and drive sales
  • sales strategy development: contribute to the planning and execution of sales and marketing strategies targeted at the UK market
  • team collaboration: participate in weekly Zoom meetings to align on goals, strategies and performance updates
  • sales reporting: generate and send monthly sales and commission reports to management

Person specification:

  • proven sales experience: minimum three years of successful sales experience, particularly in a relationship-driven sales role. A demonstrated ability to convert leads into long-term clients and drive sustained revenue growth
  • industry network: established network and credibility within the UK trade community, with strong relationships across interior design, architecture and hospitality sectors
  • negotiation and communication: exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
  • data-driven approach: ability to approach sales with a focus on data and results, using insights to inform decisions, track performance, and identify growth opportunities
  • textile and design knowledge: Familiarity with textiles, weaving construction, or the design industry is preferred
  • creative and trend-savvy: a keen understanding of current design and interior trends, with the ability to adapt to client needs and preferences
  • self-starter: a proactive team player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • commutability: able to work two days a week in our Kings Road showroom and travel for client meetings at interior designer studios across London and beyond
