Clover Studio is recruiting an associate or project architect to join its team in Bath, UK.

Clover Studio has an exciting opportunity for an experienced architect to join their newly formed team in Bath to work on a unique and large international project in the Middle East with a mixed-use programme including diverse parkland and landscaping, museum, event space, co-working, retail, hospitality and indoor sports facilities.

The project aims to create an incubator for the young, acting as a transformative project that empowers small businesses, designers and artists with a variety of indoor and outdoor landscaped spaces. The project incorporates a number of innovative passive environmental strategies with an opportunity to contribute to enhancing knowledge and precedents in this field.

The candidate should be an experienced architect with confident and proven design and communication skills who is well-practised in managing design teams.  We are looking for an experienced architect who is seeking an opportunity to help run an international project with a far-reaching impact, from a UK, West Country location.

A new team is being assembled to design this project from the city of Bath, across RIBA stages 2-4 and will require working from the Bath office with opportunities for some remote working. The role will require travel to London and abroad from time to time.  The candidate will join the studio at an exciting time of growth, with the opportunity to contribute significantly beyond the immediate role to the creativity, future direction and development of the practice and to be rewarded and recognised accordingly.

There are opportunities for both PAYE and consultancy-based engagements but on a full-time basis. The approximate start date would be the end of May or the start of June.

Applicants should have the following attributes:

  • good communication and organisation skills
  • experience in managing medium-sized complex design projects
  • ability to work in an autonomous manner, managing other designers
  • experience in delivering high-quality concept and competition format documents
  • strong sketching and design development skills in 2D and 3D
  • a flexible and proactive approach to working as part of a dynamic team
  • experience in producing and delivering high-quality RIBA stage 3-4 drawings
  • proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite
