Associate/project architect

Clover Studio is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced associate/project architect to join our team in London, UK.

This role involves leading a unique large-scale international mixed-use project in the Middle East, including diverse parkland, a museum, event spaces, co-working areas, retail, hospitality and indoor sports facilities.

The project aims to serve as a transformative incubator for young talent, empowering small businesses, designers and artists through a variety of innovative landscaped spaces. It incorporates computational design and advanced passive environmental strategies.

The candidate will join the studio at an exciting time of growth, with the opportunity to act as an associate and to contribute significantly beyond the immediate role, helping shape the future development of the practice and its projects.

We offer both PAYE and consultancy-based engagements, full-time and in-person at our East London office in with an anticipated start date at the at the end of February or early March.

Key responsibilities:

  • lead and manage the internal design team
  • collaborate closely with directors to ensure successful project execution.
  • assist in coordinating and integrating other consultants.
  • contribute significantly to the creativity and future direction of the project.

Applicants should possess:

  • strong leadership and mentorship skills
  • ARB registration and over 10 years’ experience
  • ability to engage with clients and stakeholders, professionally and efficiently
  • experience managing medium to large complex design projects is essential
  • strong organisational skills
  • strong communication skills through 2D/3D sketching and presentations
  • track record of leading a design team
  • proven collaboration skills with wider design teams and specialist consultants
  • a flexible, proactive approach to teamwork
  • good technical knowledge and experience in producing high-quality RIBA Stage 3 to 4 drawings
  • proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • understanding of BIM/Revit integration and parametric design methodologies
  • familiarity with novel materials and construction techniques
  • experience in sustainable design practices
  • experience of working to international building codes and standards
