COS is currently looking for a store designer to join its team in Hong Kong.

Department: COS interior department
Location: Hong Kong
Reporting to: COS store planning manager for Asia-Pacific
Hours: full-time

Overall job role:

Responsible for designing and developing stores, from first layout to follow-up, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Interior team and relevant departments in COS Head Office, London


  • to create a commercially successful and efficient store whilst maintaining and embodying the brand identity
  • to design basic store infrastructure including, but not limited to; façade designs, lighting and interior layouts, store features and details, etc.
  • to develop and draw relevant and project-specific design details in plan and section, and any necessary 2D/3D visualisations
  • communicate with all involved parties including; project managers, onsite teams, local architects, relevant sales/expansion/interior departments in both Hong Kong and London head office
  • follow up on individual projects; design review and evaluation, layout feedback and suggesting improvements
  • setting up and keeping to realistic timelines for drawing submissions in collaboration with all involved parties
  • to ensure a high level of finish is implemented and achieved in all projects through constant communication with Project Managers and occasional site visits
  • developing and improving internal design handbooks and interior concept

Job requirements: 

  • a university degree in architecture/interior architecture or similar
  • proficient in AutoCAD and 3D-modelling -SketchUP/Rhino
  • ability to create strong visual presentations and imagery with various Adobe software programs
  • basic knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • strong understanding of the COS brand and its identity
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • proactive approach to work tasks and responsibilities
  • able to carry a project forward independently and confidently
  • strong organisational and administrative skills to be able to coordinate multiple projects at one time
  • has an eye for and pays particular attention to detail and finishes
  • able to cope with a high workload
  • enjoys the challenge of coming up with new, creative, and site specific solutions
  • enjoys working in an international environment
  • interested in architecture and design
  • minimum three years working experience in architecture, interior architecture/retail design
  • the ability to travel to all countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and on occasion to Europe
  • full working rights in Hong Kong

Language requirements: 

  • proficient and fluent level of English is compulsory
  • strong understanding of Mandarin is ideal, in both written and spoken forms
  • any additional Asian languages spoken is an asset
