Role overview
We are seeking an experienced technically minded senior production manager to join our team. This role is integral to the success of our projects, from the early stages of strategic planning to final delivery.
You will guide complex projects through development, managing teams, budgets and schedules to achieve outstanding results. Your ability to think creatively and strategically, combined with your technical expertise, will be key to delivering our ambitious works.
Key responsibilities:
- lead early strategic planning, defining project scope and delivery methods for complex, large-scale initiatives
- coordinate work packages across fabrication, set building, AV production and site infrastructure to ensure seamless project execution
- manage on-site build and production
- identify project risks and constraints early, developing mitigation strategies
- drive innovation in design development, maximising opportunities to elevate creative outcomes
- manage project budgets and schedules
- supervise and support design technicians, specialists and other project teams to ensure quality control
Qualifications and skills
Required:
- experience in a technical production management role within creative, event or built environments
- proven expertise across multiple production disciplines, including metal fabrication, carpentry, audio visual and on site-construction
- basic understanding of construction design management (CDM) regulations and British standards
- exceptional communication skills, both written and visual, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely
- familiarity with CAD software and project management tools
- demonstrated experience managing large-scale budgets and delivering to tight deadlines
Preferred:
- familiarity with RIBA stages of work and design processes
- project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation)
- health and safety certifications (e.g. NEBOSH)
