Part 2 architectural assistant/Part 3 newly qualified architect

Criterion Capital is hiring a Part 2 architectural assistant/Part 3 newly qualified architect to join its team in London.
We are actively looking to employ a Part 2 architectural assistant working towards ARB accreditation or a Part 3 newly qualified architect (one to three years’ post-qualification), or a. The architect or assistant will work closely with the project lead to develop their skillset. We believe in nurturing talent and mentoring them to take on greater challenges and responsibilities.
Working closely with the acquisitions team, the construction team and also the hotel and resi operational teams, this is an opportunity for candidates to understand and gain experience of the wider context of property development, construction and operation.
A successful applicant should have:
- proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
- an eye for good design and an interest in property development and/or the hospitality industry
- interest in developing their detail/technical design skills
- strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- an understanding of and/or interest in construction technologies and UK building regulations
- be proactive and willing to work autonomously
- an inquisitive mind and willingness to learn and progress their careers
Responsibilities:
- to provide an appropriate level of design, drafting, technical and administrative input at all stages on a range of architectural projects, big and small
- to undertake the required job administration on projects you are responsible for under the direction of the project lead
- assist with the appointment of consultants
- coordinate the design to ensure it is cost effective and buildable
- liaise with design team as well as our in-house constructions and hotel/resi operations arms
- follow health and safety and quality assurance procedures
Due to the collaborative nature of the role and to assist candidates with their progression we require all staff to be based full time at the office in Central London.
Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work permanently in the UK and have fluent written and spoken English.
