Dagmar Design is seeking an A&D sales manager to join its team in London.

About the company

Dagmar is a fast-growing, high-end Scandinavian design brand headquartered in London with a well-established global customer base. We are looking for a dynamic and highly experienced A&D sales manager to help us meet our ambitious growth targets over the coming years. The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding of the furniture and interiors sector in the UK, Europe and the USA and a genuine passion for modern design. This is primarily an outbound field-based sales role with a specific focus on the UK A&D market.

About the role

You will work closely with the head of sales and CEO to plan and deliver a consistently high level of new client acquisition and lead conversion. As part of a small but rapidly growing team it is essential that you are proactive and comfortable working autonomously. An ability to build and maintain strong relationships with demanding clients is essential. You thrive by applying proactive, outbound sales methods and work proactively to nurture relationships with new and existing A&D clients. Prior experience working in the Scandinavian design industry would be extremely beneficial. This is an incredible opportunity to help build a brand and be part of our journey.

Responsibilities:

  • work closely with the head of sales to design and implement our A&D sales strategy with a focus on acquiring high-value clients in our key territories of the UK and USA
  • maximise long-term revenue per account by building and nurturing close relationships with key clients
  • contribute to the wider sales team’s efforts to expand our wholesale dealer network in key markets by providing insights from our A&D customer base regarding trends and product feedback
  • plan and coordinate trade events at our London showroom including lunch and learn presentations and A&D social evenings
  • help coordinate and manage our participation at trade shows in the UK and Europe
  • prepare and present quarterly sales reports and forecasts for the management team
  • identify emerging product and material trends by working closely with the Product team to ensure we are delivering relevant products for our
  • A&D client base
  • maximise new business opportunities in the UK market by planning and managing showroom events and networking opportunities
  • oversee the B2B sales cycle including from outreach to specification and quoting through to conversion and fulfilment
  • work closely with sales support to ensure potential problems or delays are identified early and client expectations are managed accordingly
  • maintain and update CRM database with account details, project information and insights

Requirements:

  • minimum three to five years’ relevant B2B sales experience in a design-oriented industry (furniture, lighting, interior design, fashion etc.)
  • proven ability to plan and execute a sales strategy with demonstrable results
  • experience and understanding of a variety of CRM systems
  • strong commercial sense, industry expertise and broad business knowledge
  • an existing contact book of relevant clients in our sector is essential
  • excellent people skills and a positive can-do attitude
  • willingness and ability to travel to Europe and the USA as required

Other:

  • £40-45k base salary plus performance-related bonus
  • company profit-share scheme after the qualifying period
