Graphic designer
at Design International

Design International is hiring a graphic designer to join its team in London.

Central London office.

Full time/part time.

Salary range: £20,000 to £28,000 depending on experience (pro-rata if part time).

Hybrid role worked over a 4.5 day working week (1.00pm Friday finish).

Not many roles give such an incredible opportunity for your expertise and output to be admired and experienced across the world.

We are Design International, an award-winning practice renowned for our truly innovative designs in over 40 countries, brought to life in the creation of retail, leisure, hospitality and office breathing spaces that bring and bond people together.

We are looking for a talented graphic designer who is a creative thinker with a strong sense of visual communication, a keen eye for detail, and experience within the architecture or design industry. This role will involve producing engaging graphics, presentations, marketing materials, and digital content that effectively reflect and support our brand identity. You will collaborate closely with our team to translate ideas into visually compelling outcomes that enhance both internal and external communications. It’s a key appointment to help ensure the continued successful delivery of our projects, across 45 countries, in a timely and cost-effective manner as we continue to grow and build on our own 60-year history.

In particular you will:

  • design and produce high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, proposals, presentations, and social media content
  • develop and maintain brand identity across various platforms, including website content updates, newsletters, and other digital media efforts
  • work closely with the marketing executive on award submissions, working to deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • maintain and update the company’s image library and co-ordinate all project and practice photography

You’ll have one to three years’ experience in graphic design, preferably within an architecture, design, or creative industry, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication or a related field.

Being proficient in Affinity software (Photo, Designer, Publisher) as well as the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with other design tools is required for the role. You’ll have a strong understanding of typography, composition, and branding, and bring experience in both digital and print design, including layout and production processes.

As a graphic designer you will be comfortable working independently or collaboratively in fast-paced environments and manage time and communication effectively to meet deadlines. Experience with DaVinci Resolve, motion graphics, and other video editing software is a plus, as is familiarity with 3D visualisation and architectural visualisation tools. A growing knowledge of social media and digital marketing best practices, to support the development of impactful and engaging content, would be preferred.

We have a strong belief in working towards a circular economy with a commitment to sustainability, and we’ll expect you to embrace and uphold this in all aspects of your work. We’re proud of our culture and track record of success but are striving for ever increasing ways to enrich the lives of people as architecture is shaped by the public realm and local culture. So, we offer you this challenging, developmental and rewarding opportunity, but so much more.

Please submit your CV, a covering letter stating why you’re interested and eligible, plus a PDF portfolio of your recent work.

Once we receive and review your application, we’ll be straight back to you if you’ve got what we are looking for, to progress with an initial interview.

Applications close 21 May 2025.
