Dezeen is looking for temporary assistants to help us at Dezeen Day, which takes place at BFI London on 30 October 2019.
Dezeen Day is our new international architecture and design conference that will aim to set the agenda for the global design community, tackling key topics including circular design, new materials and education.
The role will involve:
- assisting with the setup and takedown of Dezeen Day
- welcoming and checking in attendees on arrival and providing information to all guests when require
- meeting and greeting Dezeen Day speakers and VIP
- ensuring smooth running for the day
- stage setup/changeover for our various keynotes and panel discussions
We may also require you to assist with our Dezeen Awards 2019 party, which takes place in the evening in Clerkenwell, London. This will involve helping with the setup and takedown, checking in guests and coordinating travel arrangements for some VIPs and guests.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised and show great communication and interpersonal skills. We want someone who is confident and will offer all our guests the best experience.
This position would suit someone who can be flexible with their working hours. A good knowledge of the architecture and design industry and/or an interest in the key themes we are tackling at Dezeen Day will be an advantage.
English fluency is essential.
Candidates would need to be based in London or arrange their own travel and accommodation, and should be available to work on 29 and 30 October. This position will be paid.
