Architectural designer/draftsperson
at Dorin & Coppel
Dorin & Coppel is looking for an architectural designer/draftsperson to join its London studio.
We are an experienced architectural and interior design practice specialising in high-end residential projects both in the UK and internationally.
Key responsibilities and activities:
- preparing drawings, planning documents and renderings for extension, alteration and developments
- liaising with the planning case officers
- preparing outline bills of quantities with assistance from our full team
- building surveying drawings for newly acquired properties
- drafting designs
- liaising with contractors and producing technical drawings
- dealing with contractors and suppliers to coordinate logistically with them
- ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations and good building practice
- establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people, using your own initiative and confidence in making your own decisions
- working on interior order procurements/producing order schedules
- working on interior design
- working closely with our sister companies involved in property development and interior retail
- you will be working with the design manager on a daily basis, adhering to any additional tasks
Skills and experience required:
- very good work ethic, motivated and enthusiastic; punctual and adhere to deadlines as best as possible
- strong experience working on high-end interior design, joinery packages and residential architectural projects is preferred
- good knowledge and understanding of the building control and planning applications process; good technical knowledge of building processes and details
- strong experience using AutoCAD is essential; SketchUp is essential; 3D Lumion is strongly preferred
- fluent in English, verbal and written
- role type: full-time/permanent role, Monday-Friday office based

Experience:
- UK: three years or more is preferred
- AutoCAD/Sketchup: three years (preferred)
- interior/architectural design: three years (preferred)
