Curator
at Double Decker
Double Decker is seeking a curator to join its vibrant studio in Soho, London.
We offer an incredible opportunity to work alongside our creative directors in curating artwork collections for international luxury hotels.
Your role will include:
- artist research, management and communication
- understanding and organising plans and elevations provided by our prestigious clients, ensuring seamless project execution
- providing valuable support with space planning for the installation of exquisite art collections
- artwork documentation for meticulously recording and preserving information related to all contemporary artworks
- client-facing and presentations
- creating technical drawings and specifications for artwork production, ensuring precision and clear instructions to our international artisans and fabricators
- creating presentations for our global clients
- keeping up with trends and interior styles
- be informed about hospitality brands
- budget handling
- creating detailed production and artists’ briefs
Skills and qualifications we are looking for:
- a degree or equivalent in curating, interior, spatial, branded environment design, architecture, or industrial design showcasing your expertise in the field
- understanding Double Decker’s house style and aesthetics
- the ability to efficiently manage workloads across multiple accounts, ensuring a seamless workflow
- familiarity with plans and elevations, enabling you to interpret and work with complex designs
- proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for precise and detailed design work
- proficiency in MS Word and Excel, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, essential tools for your design arsenal
- excellent communication skills are essential for seamless collaboration and teamwork
- a keen eye for detail, ensuring every aspect of your work reflects our commitment to excellence
- a valid UK work visa (applicants without a valid UK work visa will not be considered for this role)
