Interior architect/designer

Duck & Shed is looking for an interior architect/designer to join its team in London.
Are you a seasoned designer with a flair for high-spec private residential projects? Do you thrive in environments where attention to detail is paramount? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are currently seeking an immediate hire for a top-grade designer to join our small team. With a number of prestigious projects on the horizon.– including a luxurious penthouse near Sloane Square and a sprawling family house in Kensington – we need a talented individual who can hit the ground running.
Key skills and requirements:
- AutoCAD: expert-level proficiency is a must; you should be able to navigate complex design drawings with ease and efficiency
- Adobe Suite: expert-level skills in Adobe software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, are essential for creating polished presentations and design documents
- 3D modelling and rendering: proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering software for interior schemes is required; we are agnostic about the specific software; however, you should be proficient in at least one professional-level tool
- extensive knowledge of interior finishes and materials: you should possess a deep understanding of interior finishes, materials and FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) products relevant to high-spec residential projects
- detail-focused design: we are looking for someone who pays meticulous attention to detail and can produce comprehensive schemes for all areas of residential projects
- experience: ideally, you will have five years’ experience working on high-end residential projects; familiarity with RIBA stages 3, 4 and 5 is highly desirable as well as experience procuring products and materials for projects
Responsibilities:
- collaborate with the design director to develop innovative and elegant solutions for our clients’ residences
- produce detailed design schemes and supporting documents, including scheduling for purchase orders, for various project areas
- utilize your expertise in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and 3D modelling to bring designs to life and present them effectively to clients
Additional information:
This position will initially be for a three-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance and mutual agreement.
