EPA is a design focused architectural studio with a growing portfolio of contemporary private residential projects across the South East. We are seeking an experienced and passionate architect or architectural designer to join our team.
This is a role for a driven individual with a minimum of five years’ current experience in the private residential sector, capable of leading high-quality domestic projects from concept through to completion. You’ll be managing direct client relationships, coordinating teams, and delivering thoughtful, well-detailed architecture to an exceptional standard.
Key responsibilities:
- full project delivery: from briefing, concept, planning, and technical design through to contract administration and site completion
- client liaison, team coordination, and day-to-day project management
- overseeing and mentoring junior staff and assistants
- preparation of clear, concise planning submissions and technical packages
- ensuring quality and consistency across drawing sets and construction detailing
Essential skills and experience:
- Part 3 qualified with at least five years’ relevant UK-based experience
- strong design sensibility and attention to detail, particularly in construction and materials
- solid understanding of UK planning policy and procedures; able to manage applications independently
- confident in administering contracts and site processes
- experienced in private client work and budget management
- excellent communication & coordination with planners, consultants, and contractors
- proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite (Photoshop/Procreate), and MS Office
Desirable (but not essential):
- experience on developer-led residential schemes
- exposure to heritage buildings or listed property work
